HOMOSEXUALITY
The High Court & The
Higher Court
Peter S. Canellos of the Boston Globe reported the recent ruling by the Supreme Court which struck down Colorado's anti-gay rights amendment approved by 53% of Colorado voters in 1992 as unconstitutional as it would deprive homosexuals of equal protection under the law. The mockery of this ruling is noted by Mr. Canellos as he writes, "Although the law does not overrule the Supreme Court's 1986 Bowers vs. Hardwick decision approving laws that make gay sex illegal ..."
On the one hand, the Supreme Court has ruled the very act defining a homosexual is illegal and now rules homosexuals cannot be deprived of equal protection under the law. The blaring disregard for the obvious would show that the homosexual has no protection under any law as the act that defines their relationship is not protected by the law it is illegal.
The agenda of the homosexual community is to gain an acceptance of a lifestyle that is abnormal and against nature. This is not a cave man view of some ones' rights to express themselves in their own way. The law recognizes the act of homosexual union as illegal. How can the Supreme Court uphold the law showing the act of homosexuality as illegal and yet offer protection under a law that does not exist for them to hide under?
Regardless of the opinion of the Supreme Court, a higher court's decision still stands and cannot be overruled. The court of God has determined from the creation of the world that homosexuality is sin. Notice how the term "gay" is now used to describe homosexuality. This is used to soften the approach used to describe homosexuals. God called it homosexuality or sodomy. God said those who practice such are condemned to Hell.
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination ... `If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them ... Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due ... Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:24-27; I Corinthians 6:9).
Homosexuals cannot inherit Heaven but must repent and give up the practice. Sexual immorality is a sin. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge." If God will judge the fornicators and adulterers, will he not condemn the homosexuals as well. Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:8, "Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit."
The Supreme Court shows the confusion in the laws of man. The only Supreme Court is the Court of God. What we have in Washington, D.C. is the Not-So-Supreme Court. God will strike down their laws one day in Judgment.
Homosexuality is "illegal" in the court of God and will always be no matter what man may say.
